Es tracta d&#8217;una obra que parla de la\u00a0<strong>hist\u00f2ria i del present d&#8217;aquesta fruita<\/strong>, una de les m\u00e9s estimades de Mallorca, especialment a Vilafranca de Bonany, Petra, Sant Joan i Sant Lloren\u00e7 des Cardassar, pobles coneguts per cultivar-los. De fet, la fam\u00edlia de Maria Barcel\u00f3 \u00e9s una de les tres empreses que queden a Vilafranca que es dediquen professionalment al cultiu del mel\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Hi podeu con\u00e8ixer des de l\u2019<strong>ori\u00adgen i l\u2019expansi\u00f3 del mel\u00f3<\/strong>, amb\u00a0<strong>refer\u00e8ncies hist\u00f2riques i art\u00edstiques<\/strong>, i la seva pres\u00e8ncia en la\u00a0<strong>cultura popular<\/strong>, fins a unes\u00a0<strong>receptes \u00faniques<\/strong>\u00a0i extraordin\u00e0ries en qu\u00e8 el mel\u00f3 \u00e9s l\u2019ingredient b\u00e0sic; unes imatges obra del fot\u00f2graf Paco Alburquerque Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;obra t\u00e9 un pr\u00f2leg del cuiner\u00a0<strong>Miquel Calent<\/strong>\u00a0i ha estat publicada per\u00a0<strong>Documenta Balear<\/strong>. A l&#8217;ep\u00edleg, els autors apunten que &#8222;si som capa\u00e7os de con\u00e8ixer all\u00f2 que tenim i que ens dona una fesomia especial, sigui el que sigui, tamb\u00e9 serem capa\u00e7os de respectar-ho, dignificar-ho i, si \u00e9s el cas, protegir-ho. Si perdem de vista on trepitjam la terra, i quina terra \u00e9s la nostrada, perdrem tamb\u00e9 la capacitat de valorar el petit miracle que ens sorpr\u00e8n cada dia quan els primers rajos de sol ens emmirallen la cara.
