La decisi\u00f3 s&#8217;ha pres despr\u00e9s d&#8217;una forta pol\u00e8mica i enmig de protestes encap\u00e7alades des del sector del vi.<\/p>\n<p>La proposta descartada va ser elaborada per la Comissi\u00f3 Europea (\u00f2rgan que ajuda a donar formar l&#8217;estrat\u00e8gia de la Uni\u00f3 Europea, proposa lleis i pol\u00edtiques, en supervisa l&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 i en gestiona el pressupost) i consistia en qu\u00e8 a l&#8217;etiqueta del vi i d&#8217;altres begudes alcoh\u00f2liques s&#8217;hi havia d&#8217;advertir dels seus riscs i de la seva vinculaci\u00f3 amb el c\u00e0ncer.<\/p>\n<p>El motiu d&#8217;incloure aquest av\u00eds \u00e9s que el Centre Internacional d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 sobre el C\u00e0ncer (IARC) ha classificat l&#8217;etanol de les begudes alcoh\u00f2liques com a cancerigen per als humans. De fet, la Comissi\u00f3 Europea ha recordat que es calcula que, a Europa, el 10% dels casos de c\u00e0ncer en homes i el 3% de tots els casos en dones es poden atribuir a l\u2019alcohol&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Finalment, el Parlament Europeu, format per 705 diputats que representen el poble, han descartat la mesura.
