Encara que el colesterol \u00e9s essencial per a la producci\u00f3 d&#8217;hormones i altres funcions corporals, l&#8217;exc\u00e9s de colesterol en el cos pot augmentar el risc de malalties card\u00edaques i altres problemes de salut.<\/p>\n<p>El colesterol es divideix en dos tipus: LDL (conegut com el colesterol dolent) i HDL (tamb\u00e9 anomenat colesterol bo). L&#8217;LDL \u00e9s el tipus de colesterol que s&#8217;acumula en les art\u00e8ries i pot causar obstruccions, mentre que el HDL ajuda a transportar el colesterol fora del cos.<\/p>\n<p>A continuaci\u00f3, trobareu alguns canvis en l&#8217;estil de vida per reduir el colesterol LDL:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Seguiu una dieta saludable<\/strong>: Menjau aliments rics en fibra com ara: fruita, verdura, llegum i nous. Tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s important que limiteu el seu consum d&#8217;aliments rics en greixos saturats i trans, que augmenten el colesterol LDL. Si necessitau ajuda per deixar de fumar, parlau amb el seu metge o cercau recursos locals, com ara la Conselleria de Salut.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limitau el consum d&#8217;alcohol<\/strong>: El consum excessiu d&#8217;alcohol pot augmentar els nivells de colesterol LDL. Si decidiu beure, feu-ho amb moderaci\u00f3. Els experts recomanen no m\u00e9s d&#8217;una beguda al dia per a les dones i dues per als homes.<\/li>\n<li>Preneu medicaments per a reduir el colesterol: En alguns casos, el canvi en l&#8217;estil de vida no \u00e9s suficient per reduir el colesterol.
