Aquesta \u00e9s la sisena vegada que Juan Luis Biedma guanya el Campionat Balear de Sommeliers.<\/p>\n<p>Per la seva banda, Javier G\u00f3mez es va proclamar l&#8217;any 2016 amb el t\u00edtol de tercer Millor Sommelier d&#8217;Espanya en el Campionat d&#8217;Espanya de Sommeliers UAES, quan va passar de Balears a la semifinal estatal. Satisfet i alhora emocionat pel primer lloc que ha aconseguit el seu company Juan Luis Biedma i sabent que els dos competiran en la semifinal que tindr\u00e0 lloc a Madrid l&#8217;abril avan\u00e7a amb seguretat: \u00abEnguany, Balears a la final\u00bb. Aix\u00ed mateix, coincideix amb el sommelier de Marc Fosch, Gabriel Lluc, que \u00abhaurien de presentar-se m\u00e9s sommeliers al Campionat de les Illes Balears\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Biedma i G\u00f3mez, juntament amb Gabriel Lucas, sommelier del restaurant Marc Fosh (Palma) han disputat una disputada final, que s&#8217;ha celebrat el dilluns 20 de mar\u00e7 a l&#8217;Escola d&#8217;Hoteleria de les Illes Balears (EHIB). Els finalistes han hagut de superar cinc proves: un\u00a0<strong>tast descriptiu<\/strong>\u00a0d&#8217;un vi blanc i un de negre; la\u00a0<strong>identificaci\u00f3\u00a0<\/strong>de tres productes en copa cega; la\u00a0<strong>correcci\u00f3\u00a0<\/strong>d&#8217;una carta err\u00f2nia de vins; l&#8217;<strong>anotaci\u00f3<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>de comanda<\/strong>\u00a0i una\u00a0<strong>decantaci\u00f3<\/strong>. Totes foren seguides atentament per un jurat compost pel president de l&#8217;Associaci\u00f3 Balear de Sommeliers (ABS), Daniel Arias; el sommelier Miguel \u00c1ngel Prieto, cinc vegades finalista en el Campionat d&#8217;Espanya de Sommeliers en representaci\u00f3 de Balears; el xef del restaurant La Despensa del Bar\u00f3n, Mat\u00edas Provividenti; el bartender Juan Antonio Garc\u00eda, representant de l&#8217;Associaci\u00f3 Balear de Barmans de les Balears; el sommelier del restaurant Andreu Genestra; Joan Arboix, millor sommelier de Balears 2009 i Juan Miguel Marroig, professor de l&#8217;IES Jun\u00edper Serra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sobre Juan Luis Biedma<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El recent proclamat vencedor del XIX Campionat Balear de Sommeliers, Juan Luis Biedma, ha treballat al llarg de la seva traject\u00f2ria a restaurants com el de l&#8217;Arabella Sheraton Golf Hotel Son Vida, on va ser cap de rang i sommelier (1995-1997); va ser cap de rang entre 1997 i 1998 a l&#8217;Hotel Maritim de Frankfurt (Alemanya). Tamb\u00e9 va ser\u00a0<em>ma\u00eetre\u00a0<\/em>i xef sommelier al restaurant Trist\u00e1n de Port Portals entre 1998 i 2004; i va ser\u00a0<em>ma\u00eetre\u00a0<\/em>al Cap Rocat Hotel entre 2013 i 2015, per a posteriorment ostentar el c\u00e0rrec de F&amp;B Manager a l&#8217;Hotel Villa Orselina de Locarno (Su\u00efssa). Actualment \u00e9s sommelier al\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gastronomicament.cat\/ca\/restaurant\/schwaiger-restaurant\">restaurant Schwaiger Xino&#8217;s de Palma<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sommeliers de l&#8217;ABS: tres anys en el podi de l&#8217;Estat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fundada el 1993, l&#8217;Associaci\u00f3 Balear de Sommeliers (ABS) \u00e9s una entitat sense \u00e0nim de lucre. La funci\u00f3 principal que t\u00e9 \u00e9s donar suport a la formaci\u00f3 de professionals del servei de vins. Actualment presideix l&#8217;entitat el sommelier Daniel Arias, mentre que Julio Torres hi ocupa el c\u00e0rrec de vicepresident. En els \u00faltims tres anys, l&#8217;ABS ha aconseguit elevar a sommeliers al podi del Campionat Nacional de Sommeliers: Roberto Duran (3r classificat en Nacional celebrat el 2014 a Santiago de Compostel\u00b7la; 1r classificat en el campionat celebrat a Lle\u00f3 en 2015) i Javier G\u00f3mez (3r en el Campionat Estatal celebrat a Madrid el 2016).
