Des de la Comissi\u00f3 europea s&#8217;han duit a terme diverses accions per impedir el desaprofitament d&#8217;aliments com crear regles en la donaci\u00f3 de menjar o haver fet canvis en l&#8217;IVA alimentari. Tot i aix\u00f2, el Tribunal de Comptes Europeu ha publicat l&#8217;informe &#8216;Combatre el malbaratament d&#8217;aliments: una oportunitat per a Europa per millorar l&#8217;efici\u00e8ncia de recursos en la cadena de subministrament de menjar&#8217;, en qu\u00e8 s&#8217;hi explica que la Comissi\u00f3 Europea no ha estat ambiciosa a l&#8217;hora d&#8217;afrontar aquest problema i d&#8217;implantar mesures per frenar-lo,<\/p>\n<p>Davant aix\u00f2, la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/committees\/en\/envi\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comissi\u00f3 ENVI del Parlament Europeu<\/a> (dedicada a medi ambient, salut p\u00fablica i seguretat aliment\u00e0ria) ha proposat (dia 24 de gener de 2017) una s\u00e8rie de mesures perqu\u00e8 l&#8217;any 2020 els estats membres reciclin o facin compost de m\u00e9s del 50% dels residus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Etiquetatge que confon al consumidor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En un comunicat l&#8217;Organitzaci\u00f3 de Consumidors i Usuaris (OCU) es mostra d&#8217;acord amb l&#8217;informe del Tribunal de Comptes Europeu en el qual s&#8217;assenyala que les dates de consum en l&#8217;etiquetatge que creen confusi\u00f3 als consumidors.De fet l&#8217;OCU ha fet estudis i han comprovat com el mateix producte, per exemple iogurts naturals, pot tenir data de caducitat o data de consum preferent, segons l&#8217;empresa que el fabriqui, el que tamb\u00e9 demostra que ni tan sols consens pel que fa a la informaci\u00f3 que es d\u00f3na als consumidors.<\/p>\n<p>Per aix\u00f2, reclamen que les dates dels productes han de ser prou clares per evitar consumir aliments que puguin afectar la salut dels consumidors i que evitin que productes en bon estat acabin a les escombraries. En aquest sentit, ja varen posar en marxa la campanya &#8216;No llencis el menjar&#8217; per reclamar una llei contra el malbaratament d&#8217;aliments: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocu.org\/especiales\/notireslacomida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.ocu.org\/especiales\/notireslacomida\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Data de caducitat \/ Consum preferent<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Segons un estudi recent de l&#8217;Eurobar\u00f2metre, nom\u00e9s un 40% dels consumidors entenen la data de consum preferent (o recomanat) i de caducitat.
