Fruit de la recerca, han patentat un producte basat en aquest component del cacau, que inhibeix la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Un equip d\u2019investigadors del Laboratori d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 en Litiasi Renal de la <a title=\"Universitat de les Illes Balars (UIB)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uib.cat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universitat de les Illes Balears<\/a> ha patentat un nou producte per combatre la litiasi renal \u00farica. El producte es basa en les propietats de la teobromina com a subst\u00e0ncia inhibidora de la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric, que causa la litiasi \u00farica. Aquest alcaloide, que pren el nom del grec <em>theo<\/em> (d\u00e9u) i <em>broma<\/em> (aliment), es troba de forma natural en els grans de cacau. Els primers resultats d\u2019aquesta recerca s\u2019han publicat a la prestigiosa revista americana <em>PlosOne<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>La litiasi \u00farica \u00e9s un tipus de litiasi renal que t\u00e9 l\u2019origen en la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric quan el PH de l\u2019orina \u00e9s inferior a 5,5, i d\u00f3na lloc a la formaci\u00f3 de c\u00e0lculs renals. Es calcula que la litiasi \u00farica suposa entre un 10 i un 15 per cent dels casos de litiasi renal, i afecta especialment els homes de m\u00e9s de 50 anys. All\u00f2 que la fa especialment preocupant \u00e9s que \u00e9s una patologia altament recidivant, que s\u2019arriba a repetir fins i tot diverses vegades durant l\u2019any, i que est\u00e0 relacionada amb altres patologies com la diabetis i l\u2019obesitat.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>LA LITIASI RENAL \u00daRICA AFECTA ESPECIALMENT ELS HOMES DE M\u00c9S DE 50 ANYS<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Els tractaments utilitzats fins al moment per tractar la litiasi \u00farica es basen en l\u2019alcalinitizaci\u00f3 de l\u2019orina amb l\u2019increment del PH urinari per evitar la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric i la formaci\u00f3 de nous c\u00e0lculs renals. Ara b\u00e9, es pot donar el cas que aquests tractaments incrementin el PH urinari per damunt de 6 i acabin provocant un tipus diferent de litiasi renal, la fosf\u00e0tica, encara m\u00e9s dif\u00edcil de tractar pel perill de calcificaci\u00f3 del rony\u00f3 que implica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F\u00e8lix Grases, l&#8217;investigador<\/strong><br \/>\nL\u2019equip d\u2019investigadors dirigit pel doctor F\u00e8lix Grases, catedr\u00e0tic de la UIB i director del Laboratori d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 en Litiasi Renal, treballa des de fa anys en la recerca d\u2019una subst\u00e0ncia que actu\u00ef com a inhibidora de la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric per\u00f2 que no causi efectes secundaris que puguin alterar altres par\u00e0metres de la salut del pacient.<\/p>\n<p>En el marc de la seva activitat de recerca, els investigadors de la UIB han identificat les metilxantines com un grup de components que podrien actuar com a inhibidors de la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric. D\u2019aquest grup, en el qual hi ha subst\u00e0ncies com la cafe\u00efna, la teobromina \u00e9s l\u2019\u00fanica que actua com a inhibidora de la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric i, per tant, t\u00e9 un potencial cl\u00ednic \u00fanic per al tractament i la prevenci\u00f3 de la litiasi \u00farica, tal com ha posat de manifest la recerca dels investigadors de la UIB.<\/p>\n<p>La teobromina \u00e9s una de les metilxantines que generen menys efectes estimulants sobre el sistema nervi\u00f3s central i precisament per aquest fet \u00e9s tamb\u00e9 una de les menys estudiades. Ara, la recerca del Laboratori d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 en Litiasi Renal de la UIB ha perm\u00e8s aclarir els mecanismes a trav\u00e9s dels quals la teobromina inhibeix la cristal\u00b7litzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019\u00e0cid \u00faric i, en conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia, impedeix la litiasi \u00farica.<\/p>\n<p>La teobromina, que no \u00e9s un producte de s\u00edntesi sin\u00f3 que es troba de forma natural en el cacau, es pot ingerir a trav\u00e9s del consum de xocolata. Ara b\u00e9, a la vegada que els investigadors de la UIB assenyalen que el consum d\u2019uns 20 grams diaris de xocolata negra pot aportar la quantitat necess\u00e0ria per prevenir la litiasi \u00farica, tamb\u00e9 alerten que el consum de xocolata no \u00e9s adequat per a les persones que pateixen diabetis i obesitat, a causa dels efectes perjudicials que els poden provocar altres components de la xocolata, com ara els gl\u00facids i els oxalats. En aquest darrer cas, la ingesta excessiva d\u2019oxalats podria derivar en la formaci\u00f3 de c\u00e0lculs renals d\u2019oxalat c\u00e0lcic i el desenvolupament d\u2019un altre tipus de litiasi.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>LA SUBST\u00c0NCIA PER COMBATRE LES PEDRES AL RONY\u00d3 ES TROBA AL CACAU DE FORMA NATURAL I ES POT INGERIR A TRAV\u00c9S DEL CONSUM DE XOCOLATA<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Amb l\u2019objectiu de fer possible que les persones afectades de litiasi \u00farica puguin disposar dels beneficis cl\u00ednics associats a la teobromina, els investigadors de la UIB han patentat un nou complement diet\u00e8tic en forma de c\u00e0psules que contenen aquesta subst\u00e0ncia.
